Schrages

We went to the Arlington fair yesterday. It's pretty fun. Free cotton candy, t-shirts, petting zoo, air filled jumping things, and I won tix to DC United. Not sure I wanted to go, but we now have tix.

Kyra loved the petting zoo. She couldn't get enough of the goat and we had to go there several time. She did not want anything to do with the pony ride. Great since it actually cost a little, but disappointing as we had to climb a big hill to get there and she became disinterested. Life of a 2 almost three year old I guess. Just like monday when she wanted to wear her winter coat to the park in 90 degrees weather. Never thought I'd be "that" mom at the park. Now I am and I don't care what people say.

Best part about the Arlington fair is that we found books that had vietnamese and english for Kyra and Sydney to read with my parents. They have a bunch of other languages too, so check it out! www.bilingos.com . Took us a very long time to come across something like this. We bought a bunch. The woman who owns this lives in Arlington and is very cool.

Weekend

We spent the weekend catching up with an old friend that I traveled to China and VN with. Gardner and his wife Naomi were living in Tokyo and Australia, and have moved back in the area. They actually are only a mile away from us. They have two kids similar ages to Kyra and Sydney and I hope we can do play dates. It's hard in the city when there's too many nannies and not enough mommies and kids at the park to hang with.

We also spent time with Allyson, Tim and Will, who took us in while our house was open. Luke and Foster loved it. Allyson and Tim were probably freaked out by us as Sydney crapped in the baby pool and we all had to vacate the area. Not so fun for me who had to catch the poo and clean the pool. Yucky! Swim diapers are usefull after all! Lesson learned.

Been so lazy with getting all the pics of the girls out of the camera. Here's an update of the girls. They are growing really fast!

Sydney:
Just clapped hands for the first time today

Kyra:
Can sing head, shoulders, knees and toes.
Can sing ring around the rosie
Can count up to 13 and random 19 but never says 8.
